Indeed, the most French and Italians, Renzo Piano, and the Englishman Norman Foster are both rewarded for most Grand Prize in architecture, Pritzker Prize. After one month of research and studies, Renzo Piano dreamed about an Opera Thang Long which rises on the west of the western lake such as red sail in the bay of Ha Lon, which would create a ''place for the population'', would respect the nature and which would be all over the world recognized as the Ha Long bay. This opera would be suspended on the water, as the pagoda from the unique pillar and the red bridge, the Huc (on the lake of the restored sword), remarkable for Its red lacquer and Its wooden structure. Renzo Piano's project consists of three parts spread on a stretch of water: the building in itself and two other spaces. These last ones are intended for the outdoor shows as well as for the exhibitions of art and culture. A footbridge on slightly titled pontoons allows to cross and to connect these various spaces. The building is a compact block, where the concert hall is over the set. The main materials whish compose It are made by steels and glass, and the roof is endowed with an intelligent system to get back the solar energy.
